Johnny Bliss is a self-taught piano and guitar player who learned the art of song-writing through Beatles sheet music and Scott Joplin Ragtime compositions. And now, he wants revenge! …but that has nothing to do with it. With over 200 songs of their own, Button Pushers lead balladeer Johnny Bliss along with song-writing partner Jeff Isoe, never lack for original material. They met during their studies at the University of Oregon. There Bliss earned a linguistics degree, which is great for parties but not much else. His philosophy towards music is “contrastive sounds, contrastive music–all levels of contrast should be explored to make a song fascinating.”
